PUSH Collaborates with EIS Studio Pebbles Exhibition

Pebbles were first envisioned during a photo shoot in which Eva Sobesky of EIS Studios was intrigued by the natural shape of a pebble, specifically how its visceral aesthetic, coupled with its functionality, made it a distinctive set piece.

EIS began exploring the sensual and sensational possibilities presented by furniture sculpted with a beautiful, organic shape that’s as stimulating to the touch as it is to the eye. The first Pebbles were manufactured out of layers of wood, resin, and fiber reinforced concrete. Its unique blend of function anddesign earned the Pebble series a showcase in the California Market Center, the fashion epicenter of Los Angeles. It was a collaboration with PUSH Offices, however, that presented the thesis for a cardboard Pebble.

The project was to organically mesh a book with a functional object. EIS began experimenting with techniques for cutting and treating cardboard and researching similar projects.

50 models later, the cardboard Pebble manifested itself. Each one is constructed from layers of lasercut cardboard in gradually increasing oval rings. The internal circles within each layer form the basis for smaller pebbles, a practice in economy that cuts down on waste while adding to the beauty of the concept–the pebbles all share a common source.

Jordan Brand Product Gallery

The 25 year history of one of sports most iconic brands is brought to life on this three screen, multi-touch, LCD array which allows users to browse through high resolution images and related content of all the Jordan Brand footwear. Users can rotate, scale and slide their way through the shoes.

CDMI Presentation Wall

This large scale, interactive presentation tool was created for the entry way of a NY based advertising firm. Users are able to navigate through slides, images, and videos with a flick of their finger, and content it easily added or updated to the system through a simple folder based CMS.

Nokia Supernova Installation

This unique reactive installation within Nokia’s NYC flagship retail store was created for the launch of their new Supernova phone. Through the use of a reactive, mirrored display system, visitors bring to life and experience some of the voyeuristic elements of the campaign by playfully interacting with different characters.

Honda FCX Clarity Exhibit

This exhibit for the Honda FCX Clarity, a limited production hydrogen fuel cell vehicle, features physical interactives, touchscreen interactives, videos, and large-scale graphics, all of which guide visitors through the four different areas of the exhibit: “How Does it Work”?, “Refueling and Services”, “Performance and Safety”, and “Design and Technology”.

Honda Safety Interactive

Arm it. Crash it. Review it. That’s the concept behind this physical interactive that lets users experience all of the Honda safety features that come to life during a frontal car crash of a 2008 Honda Accord. Through the use of a series of physical controls, users set up and initiate the crash. Then using a jog wheel, they are able to scrub through the slow motion video in detail to see the exact moments in which each safety feature activates, and how they help to protect the body before, during, and after impact. This interactive was featured in the Honda booth at all four of the major North American auto shows.

Honda Build Your Ride

As part of Honda’s overall “visitor engagement” strategy within the auto show environment, this interactive car builder invites auto show attendees to customize and build a Honda Civic SI through three simple steps. The customized car is represented on screen by a dynamic 3D rendering which gives the visitor full control of their choices before it is printed onto a foldable dye-cut sheet of paper. The result is a fun, unique and Honda branded 3D paper model car that the visitor can fold on the show floor or at home.
