Pebbles were first envisioned during a photo shoot in which Eva Sobesky of EIS Studios was intrigued by the natural shape of a pebble, specifically how its visceral aesthetic, coupled with its functionality, made it a distinctive set piece.

EIS began exploring the sensual and sensational possibilities presented by furniture sculpted with a beautiful, organic shape that’s as stimulating to the touch as it is to the eye. The first Pebbles were manufactured out of layers of wood, resin, and fiber reinforced concrete. Its unique blend of function anddesign earned the Pebble series a showcase in the California Market Center, the fashion epicenter of Los Angeles. It was a collaboration with PUSH Offices, however, that presented the thesis for a cardboard Pebble.

The project was to organically mesh a book with a functional object. EIS began experimenting with techniques for cutting and treating cardboard and researching similar projects.

50 models later, the cardboard Pebble manifested itself. Each one is constructed from layers of lasercut cardboard in gradually increasing oval rings. The internal circles within each layer form the basis for smaller pebbles, a practice in economy that cuts down on waste while adding to the beauty of the concept–the pebbles all share a common source.

PUSH collaborated with InterCall to launch a new eCommerce site featuring conferencing services for small business. Why fly to six locations when you can have one conference call?

Sony Music is working with PUSH Offices to develop the digital and social media strategy for a new product that is currently in development. Yes, this is as exciting as it sounds, and that is all we can say. STAY TUNED!

PUSH Designs Tshirts for Haiti

PUSH Offices got together with some friends and designed a line of Tshirts for the relief effort. 100% of the profits got to the relief effort.

It was a exiting year here at PUSH. A special shout out to all the great partners, collaborators, and clients that made it challenging, stimulating and fun.

PUSH did well at this years Davey Awards, winning one gold and two silvers for our work on bagbyco.com, bark, and The Bitter Lawyer respectfully. Onward and upward.
We told Ann she should think about changing her career and become a professional awards submitter. So far she has a perfect record.

By the by, this is the most unsettling looking of the trophies we’ve won.
