Yahoo SMS Wall
YAHOO asked us to create a typeface and UI for an event where people could SMS and see their messages projected on a public wall in real-time.
We wanted to create an approach that was purely typographical, no images, bells or whistles.
Putting the usual digital toolbox aside, we went old-school, analog style and filmed the burning of every letter and special character. The result are letters that “burn” there way onto the screen as people text their messages to the server.
